What a fantastic way to spend a few hours! Our second visit to Battlefield Live. 5 'children' ranging from 12 to 17 all absolutely raving about the time they have had and asking when can we go again. Really safety concious BUT no loss in enjoyment, excitement and adventure! My Daughter who is 17 loved it just as much as the boys - a variety of games keeps the interest and enjoyment as high as possible. Value for money? ABSOLUTELY! Go again? YOU BET. Going to try a 'night op' next time. Staff all lovely and very friendly and helpful. Lovely local tea rooms for anyone not brave enough to try - all directions given freely and easily. TRY IT - IT IS FANTASTIC!

This was definately the best way to entertain a large group of 7-10 year olds on a very wet day. Everything was so well organised. We received a very warm welcome and the boys were taken off into the woods in their camouflage. After that, I didn't see them for a few hours but they haven't stopped talking about it since. We are all planning to return soon.

We have visited twice this year and are planning to return for "night ops". We have taken five children ranging in ages from 11 to 17 years,both male and female. They have all thoroughly enjoyed the experience and can't wait to return. The atmosphere is fun safe and friendly. I would definitely reccommend it.

Friendly, very helpful staff and extremely good fun. Excellent battle zone on a wooded hillside.I took my 12 year old for 2 hrs this afternoon and we were in a mixed group of 30 adults and 10 year olds plus.
Split into 2 teams at the start, 4 games were run in the 2 hours and it was ideal for young and old with plenty of action and as physically challenging as you could take. We drove 200 miles to visit, having missed out in the summer. My son was still talking about it on the way back. Only just got the cammo paint off now 5 hours later!!. Yes there is paintball but not everyone wants to get bruises!! not to mention the cost of the ammo.
Lasers are much cooler. Site is obviously wet all year due to being on a wooded hillside but the bark chip paths make it all weather and there are loads of natural and artificial areas of cover for sniping
Cold water is available for purchase in the battle zone, and you probably would need it as we were fairly warm running araound the hills for 2 hours despite it being only 12 degrees !!
Could be someting to do with the various sound pods around the site transporting you into the hot jungles of the Vietnam era complete with the sound of Hueys overhead
Must return some time to try the evening battles. Must be surreal in the dark with the subtle lighting effects.

I hear a helicopter roar over head as night begins to fall. Ahead I see the flash of gunfire light up the steamy forest and my squad hits the muddy ground and returns fire. Am I playing the latest Call Of Duty? No, I’m in the heart of Pembrokeshire at BATTLEFIELD LIVE!
I’m a regular “Sofa Soldier” on computer games consoles and relished the chance to shoot my colleagues here at PEMBROKESHIRES BEST, but nothing prepared me for the intense, adrenalin rush that I felt crouched under some bushes in our county. I look down the sights and line up an enemy and squeeze the trigger, I see instantly I’ve hit them as their headwear flashes red.
Rewind an hour and we’re being fully trained by their great instructors in how to wield the impressive guns they have (the same models are used by the Royal Marine Commandos to train on board ship). It doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or a seasoned veteran, you’ll all receive the same training to ensure you’re as battle ready as possible.
My early confidence quickly evaporated; there are no ‘infinite run perks’ here. All that computer gaming may have sharpened my senses but my legs are numb, my heart is thumping and every sense is heightened as I scan the dense forest for my enemy. This is as close to the real thing as you’ll ever want to get.
They also arrange special events from birthday parties, 24 hour sessions and night ops. So, as our session ends, we’re already discussing a rematch for Shaun’s birthday. Despite my aching legs, muddy face and utter exhaustion I agree wholeheartedly!
I never thought I’d find such a fun, intense and exciting combat experience in our county, Battlefield Live has all the adrenalin fuelled fun of Call Of Duty but without the sofa, it has all the fun of paintballing without the pain of being hit and it makes for a day out everyone can enjoy.
Just remember to keep your head down and your gun loaded!
I took my son Josh & his friend Steven to battlefield Live Pembs with 9 of thier friends for a joint 9th birthday party on Saturday afternoon, they had a brilliant time and can't stop talking about how good it was, in my Son's words " Dad it was the best Birthday Party I've ever had!". I just want to say a massive thankyou to the team who looked after the lads and treated them to an awesome experience. We'll be back soon and this time the adults are going to join in! I can't wait!! lol

Our Group had a age range from 50yrs - 20yrs old and all of us had the greatest time ever. Even the rain could not dampen the fun we all had..We hope to get a bigger party together and go again..talking point of the day was how much we all had. Thank you all for ensuring we all had fun..tired old men went back to work today still feeling the effect from the fun we had..better then battle PT:)

I chose battlefield for my birthday because it sounded exciting and different to any other place around and it does not hurt you at all! The people were really friendly and it was so cool to dress up in army gear and have face paint on your face, also shooting with the laser guns was amazing. They play the game in any weather, rain, sun, windy, even in the snow! I would love to play in the snow!
The Marshals divided us into two teams and we played four different games. It's cool when the Marshal puts smoke in the woods so you can't see anyone!
This has been the best birthday party ever and it is one of the best places in Pembrokeshire I have ever been to. I cannot wait to be able to go play again!

It was an excellent experience, far better than Paintballing and with no pain. (Other than the running up and down hills). You can apply more strategy and cunning and general battlefield tactics. It is well worth doing. If you are looking to make a choice between this an another activity, choose this one.
